Last Light
This collection is purely a response to living in a certain part of Australia, during the last gasps of a century, in a place that happens to be the capital city.
In between the satellite suburbs where people live and work, vast roads and space connects bushland with an almost always blue sky . But in those last weeks of 1999, an eerie and other-worldly quality of light befell the end of each day… or maybe, this was an imagined sense forced by the closing portal of a millennia.
This series was used extensively for a Classical music double CD called Catch by preeminent Australian composer, Mary Finsterer and exhibited at the Australian Centre for Photography in 2004.
